Producers announced today final casting and the opening night for Tony Award & Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Robert Schenkkan's THE GREAT SOCIETY, his new play celebrating Lyndon B. Johnson's legacy, directed by Bill Rauch (All the Way). The Great Society continues the journey begun by All the Way.

Tony Award & Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Robert Schenkkan will return to Broadway with the second of his two exhilarating dramas celebrating Lyndon B. Johnson's legacy: THE GREAT SOCIETY. This new play is the companion piece to Schenkkan's Tony Award winning All The Way, depicting the tumultuous times that led to the conclusion of the Johnson presidency in 1968.

The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis has announced the star-laden cast for its season-opening production of Tony Kushner's Angels in America: Parts One and Two, running September 4 - October 6.

The Alliance for Women in Media Foundation (AWMF) announced the winners of the 44th annual Gracie Awards to take place May 21 at the Four Seasons Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles. The event will recognize such esteemed honorees as Sandra Oh, Tisha Thompson, Rachel Maddow, Connie Britton, Elizabeth Perkins, Patricia Arquette, Leah Remini, Robin Roberts, Laura Lynch, Rachel Bloom, Angela Yee, Maura Tierney, Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie, along with some of the most talented women in television, radio and digital media. Internationally acclaimed children's author Christopher Paul Curtis will pay a return visit to Chicago Children's Theatre, 100 S. Racine Ave. in Chicago's West Loop, on Saturday and Sunday, April 13 and 14, for public book signings and to celebrate CCT's world premiere adaptation of his Newbery Medal-winning book, The Watsons Go to Birmingham-1963.

 In 1962, fifty-seven years ago, the magnificent TONY BENNETT recorded "I Left My Heart in San Francisco."  The song was honored with two Grammy Awards, including "Record of the Year" and gave Tony a signature tune that, as he delights in saying, has made him "A Citizen of the World."  Last March, the classic was entered into the National Recording Registry of the Library of Congress as "an aural treasure worthy of preservation." The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts announces that Alicia Grace (the Kennedy Center's She A Gem) will step into the role of Joetta "Joey" Watson. She replaces the previously announced Hailey Kilgore, who is departing the production due to an unanticipated scheduling conflict.

The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts announces complete casting for The Watsons Go to Birmingham-1963. This world premiere Kennedy Center commission is adapted by Christina Ham from Christopher Paul Curtis's Newbery Medal and Coretta Scott King Award-winning book.
