Audible Inc., the world's largest producer and provider of downloadable audiobooks and other spoken-word entertainment, will begin performances this week of Is Anyone Alive Out There?, an original comedy musical at the Minetta Lane Theatre, which will also be recorded live for release as an Audible Original. The post-apocalyptic-set farce will run for four nights from March 21-24 at the company's creative home for live performances in New York. Each of the four performances will feature a surprise special guest appearance from either Chris Gethard (The Chris Gethard Show), Gilbert Gottfried (Gilbert), or Helene Yorke (The Other Two).

Orchestrator Charlie Rosen just took to Facebook to explain why the union has prevented him from performing in the pit as Guitar 2 & Ukulele. He writes:

In a recent interview with the New York Times, Be More Chill composer Joe Iconis revealed that an off-Broadway production of Broadway Bounty Hunter, starring Annie Golden, is in the works. 

Be More Chill officially began its Broadway run last week, and while the show is already celebrating an exciting milestone, conflict as has arisen between the show and Local 802, the union for professional musicians.
