Audible Inc.today announced the world premiere of Is Anyone Alive Out There?, an original comedy musical at the Minetta Lane Theatre, which will also be recorded live for release as an Audible Original. The post-apocalyptic-set farce will debut as a limited-run special event March 21-24 at the company's creative home for live performances in New York.

Created and performed by New York-based cabaret and comedy duo Noel Carey and Julia Mattison (Funny Or Die, 54 Below, Joe's Pub) and directed by Daniel Goldstein (Godspell), the project was originally commissioned by Audible based on a pitch competition the audio entertainment platform hosted with the New York Television Festival (NYTVF) in 2017. The project is being produced with Gotham Gray Productions.

The musical finds two radio hosts stranded in their studio following a fire-spewing, world-altering event while they search for other possible survivors via the airwaves. As the performance progresses, audiences will observe their hilarious descent into madness as they struggle to maintain their regular broadcast and comb through an increasingly eclectic selection of remaining records. Each evening of the limited run will feature a guest appearance.

Performances will begin at 8 pm Thursday, March 21 through Saturday, March 23, and at 7 pm on Sunday, March 24. Tickets are priced at $30 and available online via Ticketmaster.com, by phone at 800-982-2787, or at the Minetta Lane Theatre Box Office (18 Minetta Lane). For more information, visit www.audible.com/minettalane.

Is Anyone Alive Out There? will feature scenic design by Donyale Werle, lighting design by Paige Seber, and sound design by Tyler Kieffer. Carey and Mattison co-wrote and perform all original music, with orchestrations and track production provided by Charlie Rosen.
