What good is sitting alone in your room this week? If you don't already have plans to see a Broadway show, come out to see your favorite Broadway stars in a cabaret act instead. After Broadway orchestras begin their overtures, ensemble members take their dance breaks, and performers belt out their eleven o'clock numbers, the party continues at various cabaret venues throughout New York City. Highlights this week include a celebration of this season's Broadway debuts, Joe Iconis & Family, Paulo Szot, and Paul Alexander Nolan with former costars Carmen Cusack and Jessie Fisher.

Broadway's Paul Alexander Nolan (Escape to Margaritaville, Bright Star, Jesus Christ Superstar, Once) will make his Feinstein's/54 Below debut this May and take audiences on a musical journey -- featuring the iconic influences and some personal favorites, who have made an impact along the way. Incorporating tunes from multiple genres, including pop, rock, folk, bluegrass, and more, Nolan will explore the sounds that have inspired him on stage and in life, while sharing stories.

BroadwayWorld has learned that The Muny announced today 25 principal cast members for the first season of its second century. Complete company casting will be announced throughout April and May. The 101st season opens on a brand new, state-of-the-art stage with Muny favorite Guys and Dolls followed by the U.S. regional premiere of Kinky Boots. The season continues with 1776, Rodgers + Hammerstein's Cinderella, Footloose and a newly-reimagined Lerner and Loewe's Paint Your Wagon. Season 101 closes with the highly-anticipated Muny debut of Roald Dahl's Matilda.

Center Theatre Group has announced additional performers and two special guests for 'A Grand Night,' a one-night-only event on Monday, April 22 featuring a 5:30 p.m. pre-show reception in the Ahmanson lobby, a 7 p.m. performance in the Mark Taper Forum and a post-show gala dinner on the stage of the Ahmanson Theatre. Tickets are also available for the performance only starting at $100.

Medwish International hosts Music for Medwish an intimate evening featuring some of Broadway's best in Los Angeles on Monday, April 15th at 8pm at the Rockwell Table and Stage (1714 N Vermont Ave). Produced by Broadway actress and producer Betsy Werbel (Wicked) the event raises funds for Medwish, a not-for-profit organization that repurposes discarded medical supplies and equipment to provide humanitarian aid around the world saving lives - and the environment.
