Charlotte’s Blumenthal Performing Arts will present the world premiere of BLACKSTAR SYMPHONY, The Music of David Bowie, with featured guest vocalist John Cameron Mitchell, taking place on Friday, September 16 and Saturday, September 17 on the stage of the Belk Theater as part of the inaugural Charlotte International Arts Festival.

Marking the very first time a ROXY MUSIC collection has been made available on vinyl, this iconic collection of songs will be available on 2LP 180-gram black vinyl and limited yellow vinyl D2C exclusive editions. Both include restored and enhanced artwork, lyrics, and have been remastered at half-speed by Miles Showell at Abbey Road Studios.

Dave Stewart and Amy Lee of Evanescence have teamed up to record a reimagined version of The Everly Brothers classic song, “Love Hurts.” Watch the official music video for the song ahead of its release.

Written and produced by Stewart, Ebony McQueen was recorded at Nashville’s legendary Blackbird Studio and his own Bay Street Recording Studio in the Caribbean, with contributions from an array of top vocalists, session players, and a 60-piece Budapest Scoring Orchestra.

These legendary songwriters wrote mega-hits such as, 'Vision of Love,”  “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This),” “Shout,” “The Joker,” “Hollaback Girl,” “Heaven is a Place on Earth,” and “Dancing In The Street.” The star-studded induction event is slated for Thursday, June 11th at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York City. Ford Theatres presents the premiere of Hassan Hajjaj: My Rockstars Experimental Live, a musical art installation, for one performance only, Friday, October 11 at 8:00 pm at the Ford Theatres. The show is presented with UCLA's Center for the Art of Performance.
