Philadelphia's William Way LGBT Community Center's John J. Wilcox, Jr Archives today announced the world premiere of These Don't Easily Scatter by three-time Obie award-winning writer and director Ain Gordon. Gordon's new play will open as part of Remembrance: an alternative memorial dedicated to Philadelphians and the HIV/AIDS crisis.

THE KING'S SPEECH Comes To Hartford Stage In March

Former Artistic Director Michael Wilson will return to Hartford Stage in March to direct the original play which inspired the Academy Award-winning film The King's Speech. Written by Academy Award-winning screenwriter David Seidler, the play tells the true story of King George VI, his speech therapist Lionel Logue, and a friendship that helped steer the course of history. The King's Speech will run Thursday, March 19, through Sunday, April 19.

Northern Stage Producing Artistic Director Receives Genius Grant

The Pussycat Foundation, established in the spirit of Cosmopolitan Magazine editor Helen Gurley Brown, has awarded Northern Stage's Producing Artistic Director Carol Dunne a Genius Grant of $250,000 for her achievements in theater arts, recognizing her as a pioneering artist and artistic director. The Pussycat Foundation awards Genius Grants to individuals who dedicate their lives to transformative work with bold leadership and vision. The dollars awarded to Carol are split evenly between Northern Stage and the New London Barn Playhouse, which Carol led from 2008-2014.
