Lively McCabe Entertainment, whose stage hits include the “most-produced play in the country” Clue (currently playing at the Paper Mill Playhouse) and its sibling Cluedo (currently touring the UK), Punk Rock Girl by Joe Iconis (currently playing at The Argyle Theatre), and more, has acquired Broadway Theater Workshops (BTW).

Lively McCabe Entertainment, the global theatrical production company based in Ridgewood, NJ has acquired Broadway Theater Workshops. In residence at the Inserra Theater at Saint Joseph Regional High School (40 Chestnut Ridge Road Montvale, New Jersey), Broadway Theater Workshops is a year-round training company working with children in grades 3-12 in developing their performance skills.

Lively McCabe Entertainment has announced that it has acquired Broadway Theater Workshops (BTW). 

A new streaming concert series, titled Broadway Stories & Songs with Ted Sperling & Friends, will debut on May 7, 2021.

Beetlejuice officially opened on Broadway last night, April 25, at the Winter Garden Theatre. BroadwayWorld was there for the big night, and you can check out photos from the opening night red carpet below!

Chart-topping singer-songwriter Ingrid Michaelson and Harold Arlen Award-winning composer-lyricist, pianist, and music supervisor Georgia Stitt made special appearances with The New York Pops, led by Music Director Steven Reineke, on Friday, November 17 at 8:00 p.m. in Stern Auditorium / Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall in Women of Notes. Bravo to the Collegiate Chorale for taking things up a notch--changing its name to MasterVoices and taking on an ambitious season that opened with a semi-staged production of Gilbert & Sullivan's THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE at New York City Center, with a game cast including some top Broadway performers and opera singer Deborah Voigt. But this is the house that City Center ENCORES! built over the last 20 years—including originating the long-running Broadway production of Kander & Ebb's CHICAGO—and they should have known to bring in a stronger director to help the evening jell.

Ted Sperling will conduct the New York Philharmonic and vocalists Laura Osnes and Santino Fontana in A Broadway Romance, a one-night-only Valentine's Day concert, Saturday, February 14, 2015, at 8:00 p.m. The program will feature songs from popular musicals ranging from Bernstein's West Side Story and Gershwin's Girl Crazy to Rodgers & Hammerstein's Carousel and Stephen Sondheim's Company, woven together to tell a unified narrative of a romance from beginning to end, from meeting to first date to falling in love to marriage.

Fabulously entertaining fans eight times a week, BULLETS OVER BROADWAY: THE MUSICAL, based on the 1994 Woody Allen film of the same name, racked up six Tony Nominations this year. The musical comedy also recently released its Original Broadway Cast Recording, featuring a score of music from the 1920s adapted by Glen Kelly, with orchestrations by Doug Besterman. If you're like me, you haven't seen the show yet, and this enthralling album will leave you longing to see the splashy spectacle, smiling, and singing along with glee.

It has been 14 years since Sherie Rene Scott released a solo album. Succeeding her first solo record MEN I'VE HAD, which was released in 2000, is her digitally exclusive album ALL WILL BE WELL (THE PIECE OF MEAT STUDIO SESSIONS), which was released today. Scott is best known for her roles in the Broadway and Off-Broadway shows THE LITTLE MERMAID, EVERYDAY RAPTURE, AIDA, THE LAST FIVE YEARS, and more.

Jason Robert Brown's musical THE LAST FIVE YEARS boasts a small cast of two, but tells a tale to remember. With a movie in the works, the show is a force to be reckoned with. The show's 2013 Off-Broadway production at Second Stage Theatre starring Betsy Wolfe and Adam Kantor is no different. Sh-K-Boom Ghostlight Records released the Off-Broadway production's recording today, and it is everything every THE LAST FIVE YEARS fan would want it to be. Wolfe and Kantor shine in the creative and innovative show, owning each and everyone one of the shows 14 catchy tracks.

Today, we are taking a look at multi-Tony-nominated Broadway leading lady Sherie Rene Scott and the original cast recording of her (mostly) one-woman show EVERYDAY RAPTURE, currently on Broadway. In addition to being nominated this season for Best Actress, Ms. Scott is also nominated in the Best Book of A Musical category (along with collaborator Dick Scanlan) for this autobiographical musical tracing her conversion from Mormonism to Mermanism (as in Ethel) and detailing her time spent on Broadway from TOMMY until now. From Sally Simpson to the stage version of herself, Sherie Rene Scott can hold an audience‘s attention like few other performers, evident everywhere on this album. But is that enough?

The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) and Executive Director Kathy Evans announced the writers for the Songwriters Showcase, which will be Co-hosted by David Zippel & Dee Hoty as well as additional casting for the eight musicals in the 21st Annual Festival of New Musicals at New World Stages (340 West 50th St) on Monday, October 19 and Tuesday, October 20, 2009.

Ragtime opened on June 12th at the Paper Mill Playhouse, and runs through July 17th.
