It has been 14 years since Sherie Rene Scott released a solo album. Succeeding her first solo record MEN I'VE HAD, which was released in 2000, is her digitally exclusive album ALL WILL BE WELL (THE PIECE OF MEAT STUDIO SESSIONS), which was released today. Scott is best known for her roles in the Broadway and Off-Broadway shows THE LITTLE MERMAID, EVERYDAY RAPTURE, AIDA, THE LAST FIVE YEARS, and more.

Scott has taken a break from the stage to release ALL WILL BE WELL, an album bound to please her fans who have long awaited the release of another solo record. In a statement, Scott said the album is "about love and letting go as a way of being," a theme that listeners will agree is maintained throughout the record's tracks.

Scott provides a fun interpretation of Joni Mitchell's "All I Want" in a Diana Krall manner. Scott performs the track with power and emotional veracity. Her alternative jazz take on the song really makes the song her own. The high notes reached in the song are chill inducing. Her beautiful yet soft vocals soar in the song, only for Scott to kick it into high gear when the tempo of the song is brought up. Scott ultimately wows with her unique rendition of the Mitchell song.

Similarly, Scott interprets Mark Knopfler's "Love Over Gold" with soft vocals and a strong jazz beat. The Broadway actress also notably collaborates with Todd Almond for a hauntingly beautiful duet of Annie Lennox's "Honestly," another strong track off of the record.

Scott's soft yet powerful vocals soar on the records ten tracks, which all tell stories of loss, love, and hope. Scott picked a perfect assortment of well-known songs to tackle and interpret in a strikingly unique way. The variety of songs ensures that everyone will find a song on the record to fall in love with. Backed up by talented ladies who are stars in their own right, Betsey Wolfe and Lindsay Mendez, the album's backing vocalists only enhance Scott's own impeccable vocals.

ALL WILL BE WELL'S standout track, without a doubt, is the snappy song "Devotion," which will capture listeners and reel them in. The snazzy and soulful jazz number is a Sherie Rene Scott original and makes you question why there are not more original numbers on the record. "Devotion" is old school, upbeat jazz that will keep your fingers snapping and your feet tapping. There is no doubt "Devotion" is the super star of ALL WILL BE WELL. We can only hope this is only a taste of the more original music Scott has up her sleeves.

ALL WILL BE WELL (THE PIECE OF MEAT STUDIO SESSIONS) was released by Sh-K-Boom Records and is currently available to download online at iTunes and Amazon.
