Hailed as “one of the great amateur choruses of our time (New York Today) for its “full-bodied sound and suppleness (The New York Times),” The Dessoff Choirs today announced its annual holiday concert series. Now in its 94th year, The Dessoff Choirs continues to wow audiences with its seasonal repertoire performed in some of New York City's most beautiful churches. This season's offerings include a sing-in of Handel's Messiah, contemporary arrangement of carols, and a rare performance of the nine-movement Christmas cantata The Ballad of the Brown King with music by African-American composer Margaret Bonds and text by writer Langston Hughes. The Eighth Annual Bickford Benefit Concert featuring an all-star ensemble of outstanding jazz artists from the Tri-State area comes to the Bickford Theatre at the Morris Museum for one night only on Monday, November 12, 2018 at 7:30 PM. The ensemble includes trumpeter/vocalist Bria Skonberg, cornetist Warren Vache, trombonist Mariel Bildsten, clarinetist Dan Levinson, pianist Rossano Sportiello, guitarist/vocalist Molly Ryan, bassist Rob Adkins, and drummer Mark McLean. All of the ticket sales from this concert will go to support programming at the Bickford Theatre.

Multitalented twin brother singer-songwriters Will & Anthony Nunziata have officially partnered with one of the nation's leading breast cancer non-profits, Susan G. Komen®. The original song “The Gift Is You” from their soon to be released album Love Alwayswill be used in upcoming campaign videos for the organization in 2018 & 2019. The song was written as a response to their mother's breast cancer diagnosis (today she is in remission) and the brothers debuted the song during two sold out shows at Carnegie Hall with the 90-piece New York Pops. The song will be available on iTunes with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Susan G. Komen. Grammy-winning producer/songwriter Rudy Perez (Christina Aguilera, Gloria Estefan, Ricky Martin) wrote the Spanish version “El Regalo Eres Tu” also featured on the album.

Walt Disney Records is set to release the original motion picture soundtrack to Disney's 'The Nutcracker and the Four Realms'on October 26. Composer James Newton Howard was tapped to create the score and it was recorded by The Philharmonia Orchestra in London with esteemed conductor Gustavo Dudamel. Featuring world-renowned pianist Lang Lang. Disney's holiday feature film 'The Nutcracker and the Four Realms' opens in U.S. theaters on Nov. 2.
