Known as an actor of striking range and depth, Michael Medeiros won critical acclaim as Tennessee Williams in Goodman Theatre’s bold re-imagining of Camino Real. Recent work includes She’s Lost Control (Berlinale 2014), guest star roles on Believe and Elemantary, The Master and Margarita at Bard Summerscape for director, Janos Szasz, and Zampolit, the Russian Political Officer in X-Men First Class. Crossing effortlessly between stage and screen, he was in indie favorites, Synecdoche New York and Margot At The Wedding. He’s collaborated on seven episodes of Law & Order, one of which, “Disappeared” has taken on near cult status. He lead the cavalry charge as Major Reno in Son of the Morning Star, sang the title roles in Sweeney Todd and Man of La Mancha and starred as the drunken poet Igor in festival favorite, Sometime In August. Other theater work includes the Public, Long Wharf, Goodspeed, Playwrights Horizons, the Kennedy Center. An accomplished guitarist/composer, he has used those skills in three different productions of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. His feature film directoral debut, Tiger Lily Road, which he also wrote, makes its New Year Premiere at Soho International FIlm Festival in May 2014.
