Tamara Rojo and James Graham have both triumphed in South Bank Sky Arts Awards, announced at a ceremony on Sunday (10 July) at The Savoy Hotel in London.

Sir Karl will launch his tour at St David's Hall, Cardiff at 3pm on Sunday 13 March, conducting a selection of his most popular works including THE ARMED MAN: A MASS FOR PEACE, and excerpts from SYMPHONIC ADIEMUS and PALLADIO.

Sheffield Theatres has triumphed at the South Bank Sky Arts Awards, taking home the Theatre award for new musical, Standing at the Sky's Edge.

Queen's Theatre Hornchurch, Hull Truck Theatre and Oldham Coliseum Theatre have today (10 June) announced that they will be streaming their epic and landmark 2019 revival of The Hired Man to raise vital funds for current and future creative projects, which together reach over 380,000 people a year, while their theatres are closed to the public.

Full casting has today been announced for the landmark revival of the award-winning British musical The Hired Man, co-produced by the Queen's Theatre Hornchurch and Hull Truck Theatre in association with Oldham Coliseum Theatre. This epic heroic tale of love, betrayal and loyalty opens in Hornchurch (27 April - 18 May), transfers to Hull (23 May - 15 June) and concludes in Oldham (20 June - 6 July).

It was announced today that the BAFTA award-winning actor Nicholas Lyndhurst and West End star Cassidy Janson have joined Kelsey Grammer and Danielle de Niese in the acclaimed musical Man of La Mancha which opens at the London Coliseum on 26 April 2019.

Award winning UK soul singer and songwriter Beverley Knight is celebrating an incredible 25 years in music next year. To mark the anniversary Knight has announced her first ever full concert with a symphony orchestra at London's Royal Festival Hall on Thursday May 23rd 2019. The concert will feature specially arranged versions of many of the singer's dozen strong Top 40 hits as well as other songs associated with her celebrated career, taking in her Olivier Award nominated foray into Musical Theatre, along with some duets and musical surprises.

The Queen's Theatre Hornchurch has today announced its exciting spring programme of produced work will feature a regional premiere by an acclaimed Romford playwright, a landmark revival of an epic British musical and the second major production of a new comedy.

The National Youth Music Theatre is proud to announce their 2018 season, opening with a mini touring production of Super Hero at Theatre Royal, Bury St Edmunds as part of The Bury Festival before going on to Curve, Leicester and, finally, The Rose Theatre, Kingston for the International Youth Arts Festival.

The Jungle by Joe Murphy and Joe Robertson has won the South Bank Sky Arts Award in the 2018 Theatre category. The production is set in Europe's largest unofficial refugee camp, the Calais Jungle, which in 2015, became a temporary home for more than 10,000 people. A National Theatre and Young Vic co-production with Good Chance Theatre, The Jungle is directed by Stephen Daldry and Justin Martin. It is currently in previews at the Playhouse Theatre in London's West End, produced by Sonia Friedman Productions, Tom Kirdahy and Hunter Arnold, following a sell-out run at the Young Vic in December 2017.

Tim Rice & Andrew Lloyd Webber's Jesus Christ Superstar is a rock opera that tells the story of the final week in the life of Jesus Christ. It begins with the preparation for the arrival of Jesus and his disciples in Jerusalem and ends with the crucifixion. It also highlights the political and interpersonal struggles between Jesus and one of his 12 apostles, Judas Iscariot that are not present in the Bible narratives.

Brass Funkeys, Jocee, Ollie Howell and the National Youth Orchestra have all announced they will be supporting this year's Give a Gig Week with exclusive shows across London. In addition, YolanDa Brown, Chair of Youth Music, will be supporting Give a Gig Week via a show in Sydney. Give a Gig Week is Youth Music's flagship fundraising initiative, Youth Music supports 350 music-making projects across the country for children and young people experiencing challenging circumstances.

A leading east of England arts festival has announced its new Artistic Director. Stash Kirkbride will be the new 'front man' of the Holt Festival, taking over from Charles Pugh who has held the role for the last three years. As co-founder of Norwich's Hostry Festival and the Norfolk Arts Awards, Stash is a well known figure in the arts world and is now bringing his skill and expertise to Holt.

The Queen's list of 2017 New Year honorees has been announced. Among those being honored are director John Tiffany, actor Hugh Laurie, and Rosemary Squire, co-owner and joint chief executive of The Ambassador Theatre Group.
