Queer icons Kit Green, Jonny Woo and Lavinia Co-op will be joining the cast of GISELLE: REMIX as guest star performers.  Kit, Jonny and Lavinia will alternate appearances across the three-week run at Pleasance Theatre, 10-27 April 2024.

Reprising their roles from the run at the Young Vic are Raphael Bushay (Mike), Arthur Darvill (Curly McLain), James Patrick Davis (Will Parker), Stavros Demetraki (Ali Hakim), Greg Hicks (Andrew Carnes), Rebekah Hinds (Gertie Cummings), Anoushka Lucas (Laurey Williams), Marie-Astrid Mence (Lead Dancer), Liza Sadovy (Aunt Eller) and Patrick Vaill (Jud Fry).

Forget the butter-churner and the lasso. This Oklahoma! has no need of them. Following a Broadway run and a U.S. tour, Daniel Fish and Jordan Fein’s Tony-winning production of the Rodgers and Hammerstein musical comes to London’s Young Vic like a hipster cowboy riding into town. In their audacious interpretation, the heart and soul of this American classic offer themselves up in a new, disturbing guise. For what comes into view at the end of its three hours is a vision of American communality forged not only in camaraderie, but also in conflict and blood.

All new rehearsal images have been released today for the UK premiere of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Oklahoma! Daniel Fish’s striking revival of the classic musical.

Four newly composed pieces of music by students from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and performed by soloists from the London Symphony Orchestra (LSO) have been unveiled today at London Wall Place to enliven the historic centre of the City of London.

Two films, inspired by the City of London in lockdown, have been released on Culture Mile's YouTube channel today. The films feature London Symphony Orchestra musicians Gareth Davies (flute) and Maxine Kwok (violin), premiering new music by composers Jasmine Kent Rodgman and Darren Bloom.

Ballet Black is a diverse company, comprised of black and Asian dancers, that has been annually performing their charismatic brand of dance in London since 2001.

Ballet Black continue to move from strength to strength. Having recently secured funding and completed work on a more spacious London studio, they now tour nationally with their acclaimed narrative ballet, Red Riding Hood as the main attraction in this varied triple bill.

This year's triple bill marks Ballet Black's sixteenth year since Cassa Pancho founded the company in 2001. Their message remains the same as their fan base continues to grow: diversity. This small company of only eight dancers can now comfortably sell out London's large Barbican theatre for several consecutive nights and their tours of the country continue for months after. Their work whether old or new always demonstrates a glorious level of technique, precision and grace that keeps audiences coming back.
