Storyhouse is presenting a special season of chilling cult classics and horror favourites on the big screen this Halloween in association with the British Film Institute. 

I Want You Back, the new Amazon Original romantic comedy starring Charlie Day and Jenny Slate, closes with “Finding You Backwards” a brand-new song from Dawes frontman Taylor Goldsmith featuring Mandy Moore written and inspired by the movie. In commemoration of the release of the cult classic film THE LOST BOYS, Grammy winner G Tom Mac, singer and songwriter of the film's hit theme song 'Cry Little Sister' is working on a musical version of the film, titled A LOST BOYS STORY. Now it has been revealed that the musical could hit the stage as early as next year.

After ordering a pilot for a reboot of the 1987 film “The Lost Boys” last season, The CW has ordered another one for the 2020-2021 season.

On March 30, Homeboy Industries, the preeminent gang rehabilitation and re-entry organization in the world, will celebrate their Annual Lo Maximo Awards Dinner. This event is the organization's largest fundraiser of the year. The Homeboy community of supporters, stakeholders, volunteers and friends will gather at the JW Marriott in downtown Los Angeles. The evening will highlight the thousands of formerly gang-involved or previously incarcerated men and women who have developed the strength and skills to transform their lives and become contributing members of society through the organization's holistic services and job-training programs.

Dan Fogelman, creator and executive producer of the NBC drama This Is Us, one of the most lauded television shows of the past two years, will be named Television Showman of the Year at the 55th Annual International Cinematographers Guild (ICG, IATSE Local 600) Publicists Awards honoring excellence in publicity and promotion for motion pictures and television programs, to be held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel onFriday, March 2.

We tell a lot of stories in the theatre. Here in Los Angeles, however, we don't often tell stories that are authentically home-grown. FIGHTING SHADOWS is that rare exception, a deeply personal story of a Mexican-American boy who grew up in east L.A., survived abuse, gangs, prison, and drugs, ultimately overcoming every bad card dealt him. It is an important story and an especially meaningful one told with unflinching honesty and hard-won humility.
