The Cult performs on The Howard Stern Show this Friday, marking the start of their 40th anniversary year. The date holds special significance for both Stern and The Cult, with the legendary media personality celebrating his 70th birthday, and Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy having announced their transition from Death Cult to The Cult.

The Cult celebrates the 40th anniversary of 'Dreamtime' with a vinyl release on Feb. 23 via Beggars Banquet. Originally released in 1984, following the band's evolution from the Southern Death Cult, to Death Cult, and then simply The Cult, Dreamtime finds the outfit featuring Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy, pivoting from their goth and punk roots.

The Cult have announced a slate of Western U.S. tour dates for this Fall, with the iconic rock band trekking across the region following their Aftershock Festival performance. In addition, the band have also added a trio of July performances, including a July 14 slot at the Harley-Davidson Homecoming Festival.

The Cult has announced the addition of fall tour dates to the schedule with the new run kicking off September 15 in Vancouver, BC at the Hard Rock Casino and concluding at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on October 9 with Black Rebel Motorcycle Club as the main support for that show. The Cult have announced the release of their new album, Under The Midnight Sun, produced by Tom Dalgety (Pixies, Ghost, Royal Blood) and coming out via Black Hill Records. The group took all that power they possessed and channeled it into a self-titled debut which was originally released in 1996. 2019 marks the 30th anniversary of THE CULT's seminal album SONIC TEMPLE. To celebrate the anniversary, Beggars Arkive will release THE CULT: SONIC TEMPLE 30 on September 13. It will be released as adeluxe box set and a 5-CD set, plus the label will reissue a Sonic Temple on Double LP, which has been out of print for over 20 years.
