New City Stage Company has announced its 2012-13 season. New City Stage will be in residence again at the Adrienne Theater, 2030 Sansom Street in center city Philadelphia. New City Stage Presents AMERICAN SLIGO, Now thru 6/23

New City Stage Company finishes its successful 7th season with the regional premiere of Adam Rapp's play about the life of a professional wrestler --AMERICAN SLIGO. The play takes place during the family dinner for Art 'Crazy Train' Sligo on the day of his final match. The show is the 5th production of the 2012-13 season, entitled 'The New American Dysfunctional Family.' Previews begin tonight, May 30 and opening night is Saturday, June 1 at 8 PM. Steppenwolf Theatre Company Artistic Director Martha Lavey announced today the 2014/15 Subscription Season, including a series of premieres; one remaining title will be announced at a later date. The season begins in Steppenwolf's Downstairs Theatre with Conor McPherson's The Night Alive, directed by Henry Wishcamper. Up next, Joe Mantello directs the world premiere of Airline Highway by Lisa D'Amour. In the Upstairs Theatre, Robert O'Hara directs Marie Antoinette by David Adjmi. 2014 Trustus Playwrights' Festival Announces Winner, Premiere Set for 8/21-29

Trustus Theatre's Artistic Director Dewey Scott-Wiley and Literary Manager Sarah Hammond announced on Thursday July 24th that Barbara Blumenthal-Ehrlich's Big City was named the winner of the 2014 Trustus Playwrights' Festival.
