Allan S. Gordon is a prominent Broadway producer and theatre owner, known for his contributions to the theatre industry. Born in Canada, Gordon began his career in the entertainment industry as a stage manager, before transitioning to producing.
Gordon's Broadway producing credits include the Tony Award-winning productions of "The Elephant Man" (1979), "Barnum" (1980), and "Master Harold...and the Boys" (1982). He also produced the popular musical "Me and My Girl" (1986), which ran for over 1,400 performances.
In addition to his work as a producer, Gordon is also a theatre owner. He is the co-owner of the Eugene O'Neill Theatre, which has been home to numerous Broadway productions, including "The Book of Mormon" and "The Full Monty."
Gordon's contributions to the theatre industry have not gone unnoticed. He has been honored with several awards, including the Robert Whitehead Award for Outstanding Achievement in Commercial Theatre Producing and the Broadway League's Schoenfeld Vision for Arts Education Award.
