Three-Part Summer International Design Series DCOTA Kicks Off Next Week

The Design Center of the Americas (DCOTA) is inviting all of South Florida's leading design professionals, students and design enthusiasts to a special three-part Summer International Design Series on three successive Thursdays starting next week.

The fascinating topics will include:

* July 14 - Outdoor Design

* July 21 - International Business & Design

* July 28 - Innovations and Technology

Each of the three days will include special presentations from design and marketing professionals, plus product reveals, vendor celebrations, showroom programs and Open House events.

Thursday, July 14 - Outdoor Design

Special Presentation at DEDON

4 to 6 pm / Suite C-120

At DEDON's largest flagship showroom in the United States, Design Series participants can escape to the Atlas Mountains in Morocco while lounging in Jean-Marie Massaud's new sheltering sofa TIGMI, rocking in Sebastian Herkner's Mbrace, and relaxing in Pouzet & Frety's Nestrest. DEDON will be offering a taste of barefoot luxury and refreshments.

Showroom Program at Terrazzo and Surfaces

Noon to 1 pm Suite A-124

Presented in DCOTA's Resource Center, this program will explore designing surfaces with terrazzo, using exotic aggregates, metals and lighting.

This CEU Eligible Training Seminar provides an overview for incorporating popular technologies, such as the Apple® iPad®, motorized shades, lighting control, and security systems.?In this fast paced course, attendees will learn the latest interior technology and how it shapes the space experience, also how to incorporate technology without needing a high tech expert.
