Collide Theatrical Dance Company will present its first original musical, SKOL!  March 23-April 9, 2023 at The Southern Theater.

The much-anticipated opening of the new home of the International Center of Photography at Essex Crossing on Manhattan's Lower East Side kicked off with a VIP celebration on Thursday night.

The Wild West gets a little wilder in this unique, immersive adaptation of The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, adapted by Alisa Stewart. Set in 1864 in the fictional town of Brannock, Montana, evil lurks in the shadows of an otherwise bustling gold town as old friendships break down, and new mysteries unfold. Live projections, moving sets, and a working saloon surround the audience that moves through the play in promenade fashion. Explore Dr. Jekyll's laboratory, Hastie Lanyon's dry goods at Lanyon's General Store, or order a drink from Jolly at Millie's Saloon, all while enjoying a classic gothic tale of good versus evil.

An original series, 'Ghost Light' highlights the passion, humor, and frustration that working backstage can bring. Playwrights Horizons presents the New York premiere production of STAGE KISS, a new play marking the eagerly-awaited return of two-time Pulitzer Prize finalist Sarah Ruhl (Dead Man's Cell Phone at PH; The Clean House, In the Next Room...) to the theater company. Directed by Rebecca Taichman (Milk Like Sugar at PH; the current Marie Antoinette, Orlando, The Scene, Luck of the Irish), the production begins previews this evening, February 7 at 8PM with an Opening Night set for Sunday, March 2 at 7PM. The limited engagement will play through Sunday evening, March 23 at Playwrights Horizons' Mainstage Theater (416 West 42nd Street).

The Colony's current production, Celadine, a bawdy comedy set in 17th century London seems the perfect complement to this delightful space. The first thing one notices upon taking your seat is the richness and intricate detail of Stephen Gifford's scenic design. Grainy woods, antique lighting fixtures and décor, really give an authentic feel to this 17th century tavern in which the show takes place. It demonstrates a tremendous amount of pride, attention, and care invested into the feel of this production. The costumes of designer A. Jeffrey Schoenberg are equally as elaborate.
