Students from Valencia College's arts and entertainment programs are collaborating to produce a talent showcase - with a special finale performance that includes students performing with Valencia College's president, Sandy Shugart - to celebrate the college's 50th anniversary.

The concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. on April 11 at the Performing Arts Center on Valencia's East Campus. The East Campus is located 701 N. Econlockhatchee Trail. The event is free and open to the public.

The concert will feature a gala program, including performances and contributions from Valencia's many ensembles from the vocal, instrumental, jazz, commercial music, theater, musical theater and dance departments. In two seamless halves, the groups will perform individual works and combined ensemble features, including works composed or arranged by Valencia music faculty members Troy Gifford, Alan Gerber and Jose Aenlle. Alumni and faculty performers will join the ensembles for this presentation. The program will wrap up with a special finale, a montage of popular songs from 1967, Valencia's inaugural year, featuring the full company of performers and Dr. Shugart.
