Orlando Shakespeare Theater in Partnership with UCF invites the Central Florida community to a special production of William Shakespeare's Macbeth performed by The Young Company ("TYC"). Following a four-week intensive summer camp, the troupe of high school performers will present their work on the Margeson Theater stage on Friday, July 10 and Saturday, July 11 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, July 12 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets ($10) are available beginning on Tuesday, June 16 at 12:00 p.m. noon, and may be purchased online at www.orlandoshakes.org, by phone at (407) 447-1700 ext. 1, or in person at the John and Rita Lowndes Shakespeare Center. Walk-up sales begin one hour before show time.

"From the initial audition to working with seasoned designers, the TYC experience is an introduction to the world of professional theater," said Director of Education Anne Hering. "What results is a production of the highest caliber. The Young Company's gritty Macbeth will entertain both parents and passionate Shakespeare fans."

A trio of witches, haunting guilt, and a pushy wife drive brave General Macbeth into a bloody civil war. But what is the cost of his blind ambition? Shakespeare's iconic tragedy gets a post-apocalyptic spin in this exciting new production.
