Mad Cow Theatre has announced new additions to the Orlando Cabaret Festival featuring the return of festival favorites as well as popular events including the Out to Lunch daytime shows and two new editions in our It Was A Very Good Year series.

Beloved local artists Janine Klien, Laura Hodos, Melissa Minyard, and Trevor Southworth join the Orlando Cabaret Festival lineup with their own original show. These talented performers will be seen among our evening line up as well as during the always popular, Out to Lunch series where you can enjoy a fabulous show and delicious lunch right in the middle of the day!

Laura Hodos joins the Orlando Cabaret Festival again this year performing Never Gonna Get it - Laura sings songs from the roles she'll never play, the parts she didn't get, and the shows that passed her by!

Janine Klein makes her Orlando Cabaret Festival debut with Janine with a "J" - Follow the world of a single Jewish Diva Momma pining for the glamour and bright lights of NYC, and all the comforts and luxuries fame will afford, all while living as a theme park employee by day and a soccer mom by night. Janine with a "J" features familiar music with original reworked lyrics, obscure cabaret hits and classic Broadway songs. This cabaret is for anyone that still believes in living their dreams and loves a big, belting, Diva Momma.

Melissa Minyard returns with her new show To All the Shows I've Done Before...And the Ones That Got Away. After 20 plus years as a professional singer, native Floridian Melissa Minyard brings you a picture of a girl who had a dream to reach the Broadway stage from her relatively humble beginnings right here in Orlando. Several shows and children later, she's happy to share a few songs and stories of the people she's met and experiences she's had along the way.

Trevor Southworth returns to the Festival with The Library is Now Open. Combining two of his favorite things in life, musical theatre and a good book, Trevor Southworth brings you an evening of songs inspired by some of the greatest pieces of literature...and maybe some of the not so great! Featuring songs from Drood the Musical, The Secret Garden, Les Miserables, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and many more!

All of these performances take place in Mad Cow Theatre's intimate nightclub room. Grab a chair as you sip a cool drink and enjoy It Was A Very Good Year, a celebration of one year in the life of America: the news, the lifestyles, the gossip, and most important - the music. This year we celebrate 1955 and 1965! Jani Walsh-Weber directs with music direction by Philip King.

All evening and afternoon shows are full length at just over an hour. Lunch time shows at noon during the week are designed especially for downtown workers and those looking for a unique daytime experience. These performances last 45 minutes and you are encouraged to bring your lunch or order a box lunch from the theatre prepared by Virgin Olive Market your "Neighborhood Noshery".

MiTzi Maxwell, Mad Cow Theatre's Executive Director says, "One of my favorite parts of the Orlando Cabaret Festival is showcasing the work of local artists. In Central Florida, we have some of the most talented performers in the country who we invite to take the stage with their original acts during the festival. It's always a joy to see them perform!"

Mad Cow Theatre plays host to over 40 performances of jazz, pop, Broadway, comedy, and a few surprises that will feature many of Central Florida's favorite artists along with seven Cabaret artists from around the country.
