The Winter Park Playhouse Spotlight Cabaret Series continues its exceptional programming with the powerfully talented Laura Hodos debuting her newest solo cabaret Life Upon The Wicked Stage September 16 and 17, 2015.

Ms. Hodos will perform, in cabaret, a tribute to the music of Academy Award winner Jerome Kern, who is best known for his musical, Showboat, but has written numerous additional songs that are classic, time honored, musical standards. "Can't Help Lovin' Dat Man," "A Fine Romance," Smoke Gets In Your Eyes" and "The Way You Look Tonight" are just a sampling of what is in store for this performance. Playhouse musical director Christopher Leavy will accompany on the piano.

Laura Hodos is a graduate of the prestigious AMDA (The American Musical and Dramatic Academy NYC) and is a proud member of Actors' Equity Association. Ms. Hodos has been awarded three Carbonell awards, a San Francisco Broadway World Award and numerous other accolades. Her work nationally in professional musical theatre includes playing Fantine in the San Francisco production of Les Miserables with Missouri State Theatre, Into The Woods with Titus Burgess a Dreamcatcher Theatre production at The Adrienne Arsht Center and numerous productions up and down the East Coast including regional work at The Winter Park Playhouse, The Wick Theatre, Asolo Repertory and Actors' Playhouse to name a few.

"Laura is an exceptional talent, a patron favorite, and we are thrilled to have her back at The Winter Park Playhouse. This is going to be a fantastic cabaret and she will sell out, so make your reservation today!" states Roy Alan, Playhouse Artistic Director.

General Admission tickets are $20 plus a one drink minimum. Once sold out, a limited number of "Standing Room Only" tickets are available for $10. Seating is limited so advance reservations are strongly recommended. Doors open at 6:30 pm for a 7:30 pm cabaret.

This is a performer not to be missed! Tickets will sell quickly so call The Winter Park Playhouse box office for tickets 407-645-0145 or purchase online at www.winterparkplayhouse.org.
