Artists from FACE OFF Join The Republic

Building on an already talented team of top theme park attraction designers, The Republic immersive theater experience officially announces makeup effects artists Eric Garcia and David O'Connell have joined the design team. Eric and David appeared on separate seasons of the hit Syfy TV show "Face Off," showcasing their skills to a national audience.

Now the pair are bringing their skills to The Republic to develop the looks of two main characters, the Minotaur and Medusa, each inspired by Greek mythology but brought to life in unique ways through an original story.

Throughout The Republic immersive theater experience, players will come face-to-face with Eric and David's creations, interacting with them to shape the story and control its ending.

"I am excited to be working on this project! It is something I have never heard of before and has such great potential," said Garcia. "It will be fun to see how people interact with the characters we develop."

The Republic has reached 33% of its Kickstarter goal, one-third of the way through the crowd funding campaign's run. Funds contributed to the project will enhance the makeup effects, offering Eric and David access to the materials they need to fully realize their visions of these characters. Fans are encouraged to back The Republic on Kickstarter to receive exclusive rewards, including individual up-close encounters during the performance.
