Queens Theatre, the borough's premier performing arts venue located on the grounds of the historic World's Fair in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, announced today that Queens-based Titan Theatre Company, New York City's preeminent professional repertory company, will be Queens Theatre's "Company-In-Residence" for the venue's 2014-2015 season.

"Titan is a talented company that makes interesting choices, and we were eager to become a part of their story by welcoming them into Queens Theatre. I'm looking forward to their upcoming season, and to collaborating with them on special productions," said Queens Theatre Managing Director Taryn Sacramone.

The "theatre-in-residence" title offers Titan Theatre Company, which was a recipient of a major grant from the Queens Council on the Arts in 2013, a permanent space within its home borough to showcase its critically celebrated work. Queens Theatre will also provide artistic and administrative support for the company, as well as a unique opportunity to strengthen Titan's strong ties to the Queens community and its thriving cultural landscape.

"The Queens community has been very good to us since we began performing Shakespeare as the outfit of a Tex-Mex restaurant in Long Island City," said Titan Theatre's Artistic Director Lenny Banovez. "We are thrilled and excited to continue bringing quality theatre to the borough, with the support of Queens Theatre, now with a permanent home to aid us in growing our mission and building our work."
