Canal Park Playhouse announces the return of HOUSE OF GHOSTLY HAUNTS, the weekly Spook Show created and performed by Cardone the Vaudeville Magician. HOUSE OF GHOSTLY HAUNTS (which began performances on Tuesday, March 27) will return tonight, September 4 and run through Tuesday, December 25. Performances take place at Canal Park Playhouse (508 Canal Street, between Greenwich and West Streets in Tribeca). The performance schedule is Tuesdays at 7 PM. The regular ticket price is $20. Canal Park Playhouse’s landmark building is the perfect spot for a haunting. Ghosts are conjured every Tuesday when Cardone the Vaudeville Magician performs spellbinding illusions, including razor blade swallowing, guillotine’s dropping and the Time Machine of Death. Commune with the spirit of Elvis at this weekly celebration of the strange, the macabre and the fantastical. *Please note, no one under age 7 is permitted. The show ends in 10 minutes of complete darkness.

A pre-or-post show dinner is available at Canal Park Playhouse’s Waffle Iron Café. The dinner menu includes waffle iron-prepared gourmet sliders, entrée salads as well as hot-off-the-waffle-iron omelets and waffles (including the house specialty waffles, The Playhouse Pink Waffle and Decadent Dark Chocolate Waffle). The diabolically delicious Zombie Waffle, the latest menu addition created specifically for the Spook Show, is topped with brains. The perfect treat pre or post scarefest.

Cardone is a magician, ventriloquist, escape artist, Dime Museum curator, Flea Circus proprietor, ghost master and the world’s first mentriloquist. This full time entertainer has captivated audiences around the world with his unique brand of “rockabilly magic”. Cardone holds a BFA in Theatre Arts from Carnegie Mellon University and has received grants from the Henson Foundation/St.Ann's Theatre for Puppetry and Magic. His magic been featured on Good Day New York, A+E Biography, The IFC Network, MTV, Monday Night Magic and as the opening act for the Miss Hong Kong Pop Show. He has also toured the world as a musician with his band and has been the main support for Bob Dylan, Blondie, Ramones, Motorhead, Guns and Roses and The Cramps.
