During February 10th-25th, 2012 The Attic Theater Company will be presenting American playwright William Saroyan's five-act play The Time of Your Life at the grand Connelly Theater. Tickets are available at www.smarttix.com.

The Time of Your Life takes place in San Francisco, 1939. Surrounded by a world on the brink of war and ravaged by depression, Nick's Pacific Street Saloon attracts an assortment of "important nobodies" who share The Common bond of searching for purpose. Their dreary routines of survival are sparked by brilliant flashes of hope and beauty as the events of a single day change their lives forever.

Director Laura Braza, a recent Drama League Director's Project Alum and Artistic Director of the Attic, chose this play because "San Francisco in October of 1939 looks familiar to us: a community on The Edge of war, facing labor relations issues, and fighting every day for work. The world was changing rapidly, and every character in this play has to find their footing in this new age."

The Attic is thrilled to introduce Ryan Garbayo, cast as Tom, who is a Laura Pels Grant recipient and received The Mel Silverman Scholarship of Tisch School of the Arts in the Graduate Acting Program at NYU.

The cast and production team for The Time of Your Life also includes:

The Attic Theater Company produces American plays that seek to identify and describe our complex national identity. We curate, develop, and produce new works and re-invigorate classics that focus on historical events, genres, and ideals that are distinctly American. Our raw, energetic interpretations challenge our New York audience to question the melting pot that is our cultural identity.

Last season, The New York Times praised the Attic's site-specific production of The Argument as having an "adventurous theatrical spirit that yields haunting moments." The sold-out run of Sam Gooley's new play, This One Time in Last Chance, was hailed by nytheater.com as "a top-notch job on every possible level…well crafted, expertly executed, and completely enjoyable." And the first season of the Attic's Emerging Playwrights Program gave voice to three new works by supremely promising young writers. More info: www.theattictheaterco.com.
