Kim Weild, director of the upcoming AN ERROR OF THE MOON at Theatre Row's Beckett Theatre, was represented last season with the critically acclaimed Fêtes de la Nuit, which received a whopping seven nominations at last night's Innovative Theatre Awards gala in New York City. The awards will be presented on September 20th. In addition to Outstanding Director (Kim Weild), Outstanding Production of a Play and Outstanding Choreography (Kim Weild), Fêtes de la Nuit was also nominated for Outstanding Ensemble, Lighting Design, Set Design, and Innovative Design.

Kim Weild is currently in rehearsals for AN ERROR OF THE MOON, a speculation of jealousy, madness and the brothers Booth, beginning performances August 13th at The Beckett Theatre at Theatre Row, 410 West 42nd Street. The new play by Luigi Creatore will officially open on Monday, August 30th for a limited engagement through October 10th. The cast of AN ERROR OF THE MOON features Margaret Copeland, Erik Heger, Andrew Veenstra, and BrIan Wallace.

AN ERROR OF THE MOON is a fictional portrait of the brothers Edwin and John Wilkes Booth, the rock star actors of their day. Edwin tells his tale of a man consumed by jealousy, of bitter sibling rivalry, and the mad obsession that sparked the assassination of Abraham Lincoln.

Director Kim Weild most recently directed Off-Broadway's Fêtes de la Nuit (which also received a Drama Desk nomination for Unique Theatrical Experience). She has worked extensively as Associate Director to Michael Blakemore, including on the Broadway revival of Blithe Spirit starring Angela Lansbury, Deuce starring Angela Lansbury and Marian Seldes, and Is He Dead? She has also associate directed for Tina Landau on Wig Out! at The Vineyard and Charles Mee's Iphigenia 2.0 at Signature Theatre. Kim is the recipient of a Kennedy Center Directing Fellowship, Shubert Fellow, 2006 Williamstown Theatre Festival Foeller Fellow, and is a Women's Project alumna.
