Visual Arts Center of New Jersey Announces Winter 2017 Semester

The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey has officially opened its registration for the Winter Semester beginning January 9, 2017. Classes and workshops are available in a variety of art mediums for children, teens and adults.

There are more than 120 classes to choose from including new adult courses such as, "Introduction to Abstract Painting," "Photo/Bookmaking," and a new "Drawn to Art History" course for teens, as well as classes and workshops in traditional art forms such as painting, drawing, and sculpture. New this semester, ceramics students will benefit from a newly installed frontloading kiln that will increase production capacity and several new wheels in studios.

One and two-day workshops are available every month at the Art Center and offer new and advance students creative skill-building opportunities in a variety of artistic disciplines. New winter offerings range from "Pee Wee Prodigies" art samplings for 4 and up and "Create Your Own Dollhouse," to adult workshops:"Introduction to Digital Photography," "Color Theory," "Experimental Drawing," "Linoleum Block Printing," and much more.

For students looking for a fun and relaxed art sampler, the Studio School is also offering Cocktails and Canvas, an evening of painting and wine, Thursdays from 7:00 - 9:00 pm on January 19, February 16 and March 23. Tickets are $50 per person. Or Coloring and Cocktails will be offered on two Fridays a month from 7:00 - 9:00 pm starting January 13. Tickets are $20 per person.
