Looking for a romantic night out on the town to benefit a great cause?

Look no further than the Maltz Jupiter Theatre, where Juno Beach resident Franco Corso, also known as "The Voice of Romance," will take concertgoers on a musical journey through his native Italy on Nov. 19. The show will feature classic Italian and American songs made popular by such artists as Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Al Martino and Andrea Bocelli.

"If you like Andrea Bocelli, you will love Franco Corso," The New York Times has written of Corso.

The new show is a benefit for the Maltz Jupiter Theatre Guild, which raises money for the Theatre and its Conservatory of Performing Arts and also hosts the Theatre's popular annual Palm Beach Idols show. Corso will be accompanied by internationally-acclaimed pianist Mike Renzi from the Palm Beach Pops, as well as the 2010 Palm Beach Idols teen winner, Jose Kropp, who will join the duo for several songs.

"This concert's cause is very dear to my heart," Corso said. "As a child in San Remo, Italy, I was singing and performing throughout Italy by age 8. I feel the Conservatory is a very important place for this area's young people to develop their talents, and the Theatre provides a place that they can perform."

Tickets to the benefit concert are $40-$45, and the show starts at 8 p.m.

For a treat the whole family can enjoy, the Theatre's PNC Kids Korner Series will present a special performance Nov. 20 of The Ugly Duckling. Starring the Pink Flamingo, this high-energy production features giant puppets singing and dancing to tell the story of finding ones true self and being happy "as is."

Miffy, the star of PBS' Miffy and Friends, will also be present at the show for a special meet-and-greet in the lobby. All tickets are $12, and showtime is 2 p.m.

Through Nov. 14, don't miss the Theatre's 2010/2011 season opener of Twelve Angry Men, a suspenseful drama about the effect one voice can have on a jury, directed by Tony Award winner Frank Galati.

What seems like an open-and-shut murder case becomes a twisted puzzle of prejudice and intrigue. Twelve jurors are corralled in a room for the duration of their deliberation. As justice is tested and evidence weighed, the entire jury is forced to look past the show of the courtroom to unearth the shocking truth. Faced with playing the hangmen, these dozen men first must face themselves.

Tickets to Twelve Angry Men are $39-$57 and may be purchased by calling (561) 575-2223 or logging on to www.jupitertheatre.org.
