FST Extends HAIRSPRAY

FST has announced the first extension of the Tony Award-winning musical, Hairspray.

The show will run through January 11, 2015. Single tickets range from $18-49. Subscriptions are also available to see four shows for as little $49. The cast is certainly getting into the holiday spirit. Brooke Shapiro, FST's own Tracy Turnblad, shares her thoughts about performing in Hairspray during this special time of year. "When you think of the holiday season, you dream about all of the magic this time of year brings. Hairspray is a perfect show to see this time of year. It's all about making dreams come true. The show is great for all ages. It is funny, charming, filled with lots of smiles and dancing, and it also deals with some serious issues. I am excited to hear that the show is extending. Having the opportunity to bring more audiences on Tracy's journey is thrilling."

Critics are raving as this uplifting, big-hearted Broadway hit continues to welcome audiences back to the 60s night after night. The Sarasota Herald-Tribune calls it a, "lively" and "colorful production." The Observer weighs in about this funky and upbeat production describing it as, "High octane, high energy, and high concept" with "full-tilt performances from start to finish."
