On Saturday evening, August 4th, center stage at The Burt Reynolds Institute will host VISIONS AND VOICES, an evening of staged readings of original one acts performed by students from Burt Reynolds' Master Class. Unlike a Broadway show, staged readings do NOT rely on elaborate sets and costumes to present a play. Rather, they draw on dialogue, pace and flow to draw the audience into the story. The atmosphere is relaxed, allowing the audience to see "behind the scenes" into how a work is developed for production. Think of a staged reading as a social gathering where you will have fun, meet new people and be exposed to cutting edge material before ticket prices become astronomical.

Under the capable direction of writer/producer/director Frank Eberling, eight shorts, five of them written by Eberling, will be presented. Among them are Just Shut Up, starring Rhonda Stearns and Tina Pfeiffer; We'll Call You, starring Steve Daron, Guisela Moro, Amy Hoerler and Todd Vittum; Click, starring Rhonda Stearns and Sherman Roberts; Sheba, featuring Amy Schulz and Dave Auseum, The Road, Taken, featuring Sherman Roberts and Adele Zin and We Accept Credit Cards with Jackie McDow and Dave Ausem. Additional surprises are also on the evening's agenda.

Eberling has been filmmaker in Florida for fifty years. During his career he has accumulated 3,000 television and film credits and won numerous awards including an Emmy, a Cine Golden Eagle and six Telly honors. He has been an educator at the college level for twenty years and has taught in-depth filmmaking seminars at the Burt Reynolds Institute for Film and Theatre for eight years.

Visions and Voices has sold out quickly in past performances. Call now to reserve tickets! Cost: $10.00 – a bargain for an evening's entertainment!

Tickets are available at 561 385-1584. Seating is limited!
