Amy Hoerler has wanted to be an actress since the age of 5. She has always had the desire to create characters and present them to an audience. It was only after the tragic events of 9/11 that she decided to pursue her dream of acting.

Amy studied under her teacher and mentor, Mr. Burt Reynolds, at the Burt Reynolds Institute until his death (2010-2018). In addition to being a Master Acting Graduate of the Burt Reynolds Institute, Amy also studied at the Neighborhood Playhouse and the Atlantic Theatre Company in New York City.

Review: Desert Theatreworks Shows off Singing and Dancing with WHITE CHRISTMAS


There is a great deal of enthusiastic singing and dancing by a large, energetic cast in Desert Theatreworks' (DTW's) production of WHITE CHRISTMAS, with book by David Ives and Paul Blake, and songs and lyrics by Irving Berlin. Daniela Ryan directed this production, which features two choreographers - Stacy Casaluci-Grenrock, assisted by teenaged veteran DTW member Violet Feath (who also serves as dance captain) for the tap numbers.

Amy Hoerler to Appear in DOG YEARS with Burt Reynolds


According to actor Amy Hoerler, being chosen to play a nurse in the new Burt Reynolds' movie, Dog Years, was "… the biggest thing I've ever done in my career." Dog Years, written and directed by Adam Rifkin, is the story of an aging former movie star who is forced to face the reality that his glory days are behind him. Rifkin wrote the script especially for Reynolds and described the story by saying, "On the surface, Dog Years is a tale of faded fame, but at its core, it's a universal story about growing old." In the movie, Reynolds plays aging movie actor, Vic Edwards, who is invited to a Nashville film festival to accept a lifetime achievement award but event do not turn out as expected.

Never one to rest on his laurels, Florida's favorite son, Burt Reynolds, spent the month of June in Knoxville, Tennessee, filming his latest movie. BRIFT Students Honored at WOMEN IN THE ARTS MIAMI


The Burt Reynolds Institute for Film and Theatre (BRIFT) recent announced that several of their current students and graduates had been honored with awards at the Women in the Arts Miami (WITAM) gala held September 24th at the Club Privet at The Gulfstream Race Track in Hallandale.
