Whittier Community Theatre to Open THE DINING ROOM This November

Perfect for this upcoming holiday season Whittier Community Theatre will present The Dining Room by A. R. Gurney. A single dining room set is the center of 18 vignettes revealing facets of the lives of the owners.

Directed by Candy Beck, Produced by Rick Frohling eight actors (Keith Bush, Michael Durack, Allison Hicks, Jason Miramontes, Jonah Ethan Snyder, Randi Tahara, Nancy Tyler and Veronique Merrill Warner) take on 56 roles, varying in age from children to the elderly, snobby to idealistic, traditional to progressive.

Some scenes are funny, some touching but, ultimately, they come together to create "a theatrical experience of exceptional range, compassionate humor and abundant humanity."

The show opens Friday, November 4th, and will play Fridays and Saturdays through November 19th at 8:00 pm. There will be one Sunday matinee performance on November 13 at 2:30 pm. All performances are at the Whittier Center Theatre, 7630 Washington Avenue in uptown Whittier.

Admission is $15, with discounted tickets available at $12 for seniors (62+), active military, students, and children (under 18).
