CLA's student-run theatre company, Act III Theatre Ensemble, is back with a revamped interpretation of Bob Fosse's Sweet Charity. The director's vision is to bring forth a once dated musical and bust it up into a sexy experience for the youth of today. The audience follows the vulnerable Charity as she stumbles through life looking for success and love. The company has fused creative visions from many artists and has raised over fifteen thousand dollars to make this exciting performance come to life. By
bringing together students from all areas of the arts and academic standing, Sweet Charity has allowed Act III to surpass itself yet again.

After Act III's continuous success from last year's Wild Party to this winter's See What I Want To See, the directors and producers are wasting no time in bringing the public another hit. The team gathered over eighty students from across campus to create an enthusiastic family of performers to reincarnate the love of an almost forgotten show. The troupe treats every moment in rehearsal with the commitment of professionals; this is more than just a fun hobby. The energy explodes throughout the theatre between the cast of over twenty actors, dancers and the live band.

Performance dates are February 27th at 8pm and February 28th at 2pm & 8pm. Tickets are free for UCLA students, faculty and staff and $15 for the general public. Tickets are available at CTO (310-825-2101) or through Ticketmaster. The show is located at UCLA's Schoenberg Hall.
