Transcendence Theatre to Present Holiday Show JOY TO THE WORLD This December

Transcendence Theatre Company-highly acclaimed in Sonoma County for their successful outdoor summer concert series, "Broadway Under the Stars in Jack London State Historic Park"- will perform this winter at Santa Rosa's Luther Burbank Center for the Arts with their annual holiday show Joy To The World, December 2-4, presented by Sonoma Media Investments (The Press Democrat) and the Alan & Susan Seidenfeld Charitable Fund.

Performances are Dec. 2, 3 and 4 are 7:30 pm and Dec. 3 and 4 at 2:00 pm. All performances will be at Luther Burbank Center for the Arts, the premiere performing arts center in Sonoma County (50 Mark West Springs Road in Santa Rosa). Tickets, ranging in price from $35 to $129, are now on sale and available through Luther Burbank Center for the Arts online at lutherburbankcenter.org, by calling 707-546-3600, or in person at the ticket office at 50 Mark West Springs Road in Santa Rosa (open daily, noon to 6pm).

Joy To The World, similar to the "Broadway Under the Stars" musical concerts, features a company of over 20 singer/dancers, artists from New York and Hollywood who come to Sonoma County stages directly from recent Broadway appearances. More than a standard musical revue, Transcendence shows weave popular Broadway songs into a spectacular themed performance. A rousing eclectic mix of holiday favorites and Broadway show tunes that celebrates "the most wonderful time of year," Joy To The World showcases the distinctive blend of song and dance revue that distinguishes this award-winning theatre company.

"After the overwhelming success of last year's Joy To The World holiday performances, we are overjoyed to return this holiday season to Luther Burbank Center for the Arts," says Transcendence's Artistic Director, Amy Miller. "With many of our patrons declaring it as a new holiday tradition, we can't wait to celebrate the spirit of the season with our community again."

The summer season of outdoor musical concerts at Jack London State Historic Park concluded its 5th season on September 11, after playing 22 shows experienced by over 17,000 patrons this summer. The Joy To The World holiday show, now in its second season at Luther Burbank Center for the Arts marks Transcendence Theatre Company's ongoing commitment to Sonoma County audiences to be an integral part of the community by providing diverse arts and culture throughout the year.

Joy To The World is presented by Sonoma Media Investments (The Press Democrat) and the Alan & Susan Seidenfeld Charitable Fund, along with the 2016 Transcendence Season Sponsor, Nelson Family of Companies.

An award-winning nonprofit arts organization comprised of artists with professional experience from Broadway, movies, and television. The company's featured performers have appeared on Broadway in shows such as The Book of Mormon, Mamma Mia, LES MISERABLES, Chicago, La Cage Aux Follies, Gypsy, Hairspray, Follies, 42nd Street, White Christmas, Million-Dollar Quartet, Mary Poppins, among others.
