TIME STANDS STILL
by Donald Margulies
Dailey Theatre/University of La Verne 1950 3rd St., La Verne, CA 91750

Sarah and James - a photographer and a journalist - share a passion for the adrenaline rush caused from reporting in the world's deadliest war zones. As reporters, their lives are devoted to telling the toughest stories from across the globe. But how do you separate yourself from the action you witness? How do you create an impartial lens?

When their own story takes a sudden turn during a bomb blast in Iraq, the wounded Sarah returns home with James to the safety of New York. Pressed to consider settling into a more "conventional" life, Sarah must face her addiction to the drama and chaos of war.

CLYBOURNE PARK
by Bruce Norris
Don F. Fruechte Performing Arts Center /Claremont High School 1601 N. Indian Hill Blvd., Claremont, CA 91711

This wickedly funny and fiercely provocative play about race, real estate, and the volatile values of each won nearly every honor the theatre has to give, including the Tony Award for Best Play, Olivier Award, the Evening Standard Award and the Pulitzer Prize.

Clybourne Park explodes in two outrageous acts set 50 years apart. Act One takes place in 1959, as nervous community leaders anxiously try to stop the sale of a home to a black family. Act Two is set in the same house in the present day, as the now predominantly African-American neighborhood battles to hold its ground in the face of gentrification.

Conceived of and founded by veteran actor, director, and teacher, Beatrice Casagran, and actor/ improv comedienne, Caitlin Lopez, Ophelia's Jump is a non-profit, New Theatre Company in the Inland Empire that focuses on producing highly regarded, award winning works that leave audiences asking questions and discussing big ideas- theatre that invites you to leap into the drama. Our mission is to produce both creative new interpretations of classical and award winning works, and also new works by talented local and regional artists.
