The Columbine Project returns to Los Angeles after its 2009 premiere and three month Off-Broadway run.

The Columbine Project returns to Los Angeles today, April 5, 2014, starring Collin Chute, Nathan Shoop and Hunter Cagle. The drama focuses on the massacre at Columbine High School that left thirteen people -- twelve of them students -- dead. The Columbine Project explores the tragic event from various perspectives before, after, and during that tragic day of April 20, 1999.

Writer/Director, Paul Storiale says "This story is too important to be forgotten."

Darrell Scott (Father of victim), Rachel Scott, says of this play: "My wife Sandy and I were amazed by the accuracy portrayed in 'The Columbine Project."

Crystal Woodman Miller, survivor of the incident and author of "Marked for Life," said of the play: "From beginning to end, it grips you and won't let go. 'The Columbine Project' is captured with honesty and beauty in a raw and gritty portrayal."

After its world premiere in April 2009, The Columbine Project was extended twice in Los Angeles. When the play moved to New York in July 2009, the Off-Broadway production was extended three times, running for three months at the Actors Temple Theatre in Times Square. The script was a course study at the University of Utah last spring and two of its monologues are featured in annual "2010 The Best Women's Stage Monologues and Scenes" published by Smith and Krause, now in bookstores nationwide.

The Columbine Project garnered five 2009 Valley Theatre League Artistic Director Achievement Awards: Best Director of a Drama, Best Supporting Actress, Best Lead Actor, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Stage Manager.

StageSceneLA's 2009 "Best of List" heralds The Columbine Project as Best World Premiere and Best Ensemble in its original run.

The show will run at the Whitmore-Lindley Theatre Center, 11006 Magnolia Blvd North Hollywood, Calif. The Columbine Project opens April 5th Fri/Sat 8pm Sun 2pm through April 26th. Tickets can be purchased online at www.TheColumbineProject.com.
