Theatre veteran team Gregory Crafts and Jenn Scuderi Crafts and their newly launched venue management firm StageCrafts LLC officially take over control of local theatre space Studio/Stage (520 N. Western Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90004) from longtime manager Bill Sterritt this Saturday, January 1.

"We're thrilled to not only launch this company, but also to have such an iconic theater be the first space we manage," Scuderi Crafts said. "Studio/Stage has been a home for a number of independent theatre artists and companies and we're looking forward to welcoming even more."

A twenty-five year veteran of all sides of the theatre industry, Jenn Scuderi Crafts served as a Development and Marketing Executive at Stages Theatre Company, one of the Midwest's largest nonprofits. She is also a founding member and Artistic Director of Theatre Unleashed. A multi-faceted veteran of the theatre industry as well, Gregory Crafts is a founding member, Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of Theatre Unleashed as well as a founding board member of the Theatrical Producers League of Los Angeles.

"When we co-founded Theatre Unleashed in 2008, Studio/Stage was where we mounted TU's first Main Stage show, The Tempest," Gregory Crafts said. "It soon became one of our favorite venues to work in, and we've returned to it many times to mount such hits as The Spidey Project and Round Rock. Last year, Bill offered the space to us and after some serious discussion, we decided to accept. Over the past year, we've been quietly laying the foundation for this new endeavor. We're honored to continue the legacy of Studio/Stage, and are glad to be able to save another artistic venue in Los Angeles from being turned into a dispensary.

Located in the heart of cultural hotbed Koreatown, a neighborhood that is seeing a lot of renewal in recent years, Studio/Stage is an adjustable 49-seat venue with a 30 x 25 foot flexible playing area, a 14-foot ceiling, curvEd White walls perfect for projection, scene design and lighting, a sizeable lobby, multiple dressing rooms, a full kitchen and a gated artist parking lot. With all of its highlights, it is truly a venue designed for theatrical performances, classes, casting sessions, rehearsals, photo shoots, private events, religious services and much more.

The Crafts plan on remodeling the lobby space to make it more patron-friendly, possibly incorporating a gallery featuring works by local artists as well as bringing in some new higher-end equipment for artists and producers. The space is available for rent immediately and StageCrafts is already accepting bookings. For more information, contact:
