Pepperdine University presents "An Evening with Melora Hardin," an evocative, intimate, and fun evening featuring song standards, Broadway favorites, and original numbers, at 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 10, at Pepperdine's Raitt Recital Hall.

Melora Hardin is probably most recognized for her portrayal of Jan Levinson, Steve Carell's rigid former-corporate boss and love interest, in the TV series The Office. She is also known for playing Tony Shaloub's dead wife in the cable series Monk. She starred in the WWE feature Knucklehead, opposite Mark Feuerstein, as well as in The Big Show and as love interest to Jimmy Smits' character in the legal drama Outlaw. She currently stars in the TBS series Wedding Band.

Among her many other credits, Hardin starred in back-to-back No. 1 weekend theatrical box-office winners:Hanna Montana: The Movie, as the adult female lead and love interest to Billy Ray Cyrus, and 17 Again, opposite Zac Efron. Her other feature film successes include Thank You for Smoking, with Aaron EckhartAbsolute Power, opposite Clint Eastwood and Gene Hackman, and 27 Dresses, with Katherine Heigl. Hardin has been acting, singing, and dancing since childhood, appearing in numerous hit shows like Friends andLittle House on the Prairie. She has sung in many productions, including Disney's The Rocketeer and Tower of Terror. While in production on Knucklehead in New Orleans, she simultaneously recorded her third album, All the Way to Mars

She played the role of Roxie Hart in Chicago on Broadway from late December 2008 to mid-February 2009. Prior to that, she played the role of Fantine in the Hollywood Bowl concert rendition of Les Miserables for a one-weekend performance to sold-out audiences. 

Hardin created her first singing act, "At the Water Cooler," in 2008 with director Richard Jay-Alexander and musical director Ben Toth. The show played for three nights to rave reviews at the Catalina Jazz Club on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood.

She currently resides in Los Angeles with her husband, actor/writer Gildart Jackson, and their two young daughters.
