On the heels of last summer's sold out hit concert, Principal Pops Conductor Michael Feinstein brings the second installment of his Grammy-nominated Sinatra Project back to the Los Angeles Arboretum by popular demand on Saturday, July 30. Hear many more of Sinatra's biggest hits and maybe a few you've never heard before as Feinstein shares both his legendary music and personal anecdotes recalling the life and times of Ol' Blue Eyes. The multi-platinum-selling, Emmy and Grammy-nominated Feinstein puts down the baton and picks up the mic for one night only in this exclusive engagement with the Pasadena POPS.

An old-fashioned crooner with luxuriant vocals that meld the traditions of old and new, no one is better poised to pay tribute to Ol' Blue Eyes. Dubbed the "Ambassador of the Great American Songbook" for his preserving, presenting, and interpreting of that seminal body of work, Feinstein has curated an evening celebrating the brilliance of "The Voice" as only he can.

"Paying tribute to Frank Sinatra is a very exciting thing for me because I'm able to put together a show that's very different from what anybody else does. For one reason I knew him and have a very different perspective about his musical taste in that he loved Classical Music... I'm very careful in combining swing arrangements with great orchestrations of the ballads. Some that are vintage charts that have not been heard publicly in many years or ever, and in other instances finding arrangements that will pay tribute to him...

My approach to Sinatra really starts with the music. It's not about the persona; it's not about the hat. It's about celebrating the man as a musician and it's finding the unique arrangements that give a broader sense of who he is musically and as a personality."

In addition to timeless favorites like "Pennies from Heaven" and "Young at Heart," Feinstein will uncover rare jewels from times past. The public will hear for the very first time the original arrangement for "Three Coins in the Fountain" in complete as Sinatra originally sang it, since the original was cut in half for the film performance. "Finding things like that is what makes it exciting for me," commented Feinstein.
