Flappers Comedy Club and Restaurant will present "Another Indian Uprising," a comedy show fundraiser dedicated to supporting the people of the Standing Rock Reservation protesting the construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline, on Wednesday, December 7th at 8pm. Tickets are $20. The line-up features Native American comedians Jim Ruel (Showtime), Shishonia Livingston (Lil Lil Wayne Puppet Show), national headliners, and one or more special guests who will all come together to fight big oil with big laughs.

According to the protestors and to several concerned environmental groups, the pipeline (scheduled to be built under the Missouri River) could pose a serious threat to Standing Rock's water supply, which would adversely affect roughly ten-thousand people on the reservation. Additionally, the Pipeline's route cuts through Native American burial grounds which have been deemed sacred by the people of Standing Rock.

A portion of the ticket sales will go to The United American Indian Involvement, who has successfully lobbied the LA City Council to pass the first resolution from a major city to support Standing Rock and who will continue to provide assistance and funds to the Soux Nation.
