Tickets are available for purchase at www.TheSmithCenter.com. Tickets start at $49. Net proceeds benefit The Smith Center's Education and Outreach programs.

Creating gramophone music for a smartphone world, Postmodern Jukebox has gone from viral sensation to worldwide phenomenon by putting pop music into a time machine. Led by gifted arranger Scott Bradlee, Postmodern Jukebox reimagines modern pop hits by the likes of Celine Dion, Beyoncé and Radiohead in the style of various yesteryears, from swing-era jazz to vintage soul to swinging-sixties orchestral pop. "The New Classics" features Bradlee and his multi-talented collaborators showing off

Postmodern Jukebox's unique brand of throwback irreverence.

PBS will film the performances, to air later this year for millions of viewers.

"Our ongoing partnership with PBS reflects how the nation has seen the performing arts transform in Las Vegas," said MyRon Martin, president and CEO of The Smith Center. "We couldn't imagine a stronger group to help celebrate this, and we encourage community members to be a part of it by experiencing these unforgettable performances."

Tom Axtell, general manager of Vegas PBS, also lauds this continuing partnership.

"The Smith Center deserves to be recognized as one of our nation's premier performance venues, created with a 21st-century vision through the support of local performing arts patrons for the people of our city and our many visitors," Axtell said. "Vegas PBS is thrilled to be working once again with The Smith Center, PBS and Bounce to produce additional national programs to showcase great performers on the stages of our city."

The 2016 PBS Arts Fall Festival helped introduce The Smith Center to living rooms across America with the broadcast of critically acclaimed show "Alan Cumming Sings Sappy Songs," also filmed in Myron's Cabaret Jazz. Audiences can watch a rebroadcast of that concert event at 9 p.m. on Friday, August 25 on Vegas PBS Channel 10.

Since The Smith Center opened five years ago, Myron's Cabaret Jazz has become one of the top venues in the country to enjoy live performances up close. The intimate, 244-seat venue, located within the Boman Pavilion across from Reynolds Hall at The Smith Center, offers a rich variety of artists spanning jazz, pop, the best of Broadway and everything in between.

"Postmodern Jukebox: The New Classics" is a production of Bounce AEG and The Smith Center, with MyRon Martin as executive producer. Producers include Bounce's Tim Swift and Kristi Foley, with Leon Knoles directing.
