The 2011 Las Vegas PRIDE Parade Committee is proud to announce their choice for the 2011 Las Vegas PRIDE Parade Celebrity Grand Marshall-Josh Strickland. The celebration will take place with the parade September 16th and the festival September 17th in downtown Las Vegas.

"I feel so honored and privileged to be chosen as the 2011 PRIDE Celebrity Grand Marshall," said Strickland. "I'm so proud to be a part of the Las Vegas GLBT community, and this year's PRIDE will be the best yet!"

"We are very excited to have Josh as our Parade Grand Marshal for 2011," said Las Vegas Pride President Ernie Yuen. "Josh loves Las Vegas and his GLBT community, he is all about giving back and doing what he does best--being fabulous. I am positive Josh will do an amazing job. "

Josh Strickland currently stars as the lead male role in the Las Vegas favorite, PEEPSHOW at Planet Hollywood Casino & Resort. He is also one of the stars in E! Channel's hit reality show, "Holly's World." Strickland recently has taken the music world by storm with the release of his first two solo singles, "Report to the Floor" and "Last Dance," which he collaborated with Grammy Award winning producer Damon Elliott and by Norwegian pop/dance producer Axident. Both songs have burned up the music charts; "Report to the Floor" reached the top ten of the iTunes dance chart within the first week of its release.

ABOUT Josh Strickland: Josh Strickland has seen success as a singer, Broadway star, reality television actor, and is now adding chart topping solo artist to his already impressive resume. A native of Charleston, South Carolina, Strickland first entered the national spotlight as a national finalist in season 2 of American Idol, and was later on the season premiere of Star Search 2004. Strickland was the original Tarzan in Disney's Tarzan the Broadway Musical and has shared the stage with music icons Shania Twain and Phil Collins. He currently stars opposite Holly Madison as the leading male role in Las Vegas' "Peepshow" at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino, and can be seen alongside her in her hit E! reality series "Holly's World." While it seems that he has already risen to the top, Strickland continues to pursue his true passion of having a solo singing career.
