1979 was the year that introduced the world to the Sony Walkman, Donna Summer's "Last Dance" won the Oscar for Best Song, "The Dukes of Hazard" and "Dallas" dominated the small screen and Bo Derek made her famous jog on the beach in the film "10". It was also the year that the Chippendales began gyrating their way into the hearts and laps of women everywhere. By putting a new twist on an old profession, the striptease, the Men of Chippendales, one of the most exclusive fraternities in the world, became the first all-male dance troupe for women.

On September 20, 2014, the iconic brand will celebrate its 35 years of 'making women happy' with an invite only event that will reunite more than three decades of Chippendales performers (from 1979 - 2014) at the show's flagship location, the Chippendales Theatre inside the Rio All-Suite Hotel &Casino in Las Vegas. In addition, the evening kicks off a year-long celebration of events and projects that will include performances in Europe, Asia, and Australia; as well as a 35-city USA tour (including New York, Chicago, Dallas and San Diego among others) in partnership with LiveNation; and the beginning of production of a Las Vegas based reality show and Alan Ball's highly anticipated film, "I Am Chippendales," the true-life, and often scandalous story of how the brand became one of the most famous adult entertainment shows in the world.

Named after the Chippendales-style classic furniture that adorned the original club in Los Angeles, the brand quickly became a pop-culture phenomenon in the late '70s and early '80s. The success of the Los Angeles club spawned a New York club as well as other permanent locations and touring troupes that traveled the world, producing shows across Europe, the UK, Australia and Asia. Over the last 35 years of Chippendales, the men have performed for more than 100 million women in over 100 countries, have traveled more thank 6.7 million miles while touring, have torn away over 1.2 million tank tops, worn 56,000 bowties and cuffs and have been photographed more than 70 million times. The famous Chippendales calendar became the first all-male calendar targeted to women and has sold more than 10 million copies worldwide and has been printed in over nine languages.

The Chippendales perform nightly in Las Vegas at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. For a list of touring cities, please visit www.Chippendales.com.
