The New Shanghai Theatre, home to the Amazing Acrobats of Shanghai announces new theatre and show management. It's the same beautiful and artistic troupe at one of Branson's most unique theatres, now with new operations staff. New Century Entertainment, Inc. has been and continues to be the corporate owner of the show performing and the New Shanghai Theatre. In mid-May a leadership change occurred, with long-time partner in New Century Entertainment, Mr. Ziqian Tan taking on the role of principal partner and manager of the show performing at the New Shanghai Theatre.

"Mrs. Ying Xu and I have been partners/owners and involved with the original Acrobatic China show from the very beginning, since the original debuted in 1998," said Mr. Ziqian Tan. Moving into the new role of President / CEO, I now have completed the task of establishing a strong, caring team, managing daily operations and allowing the changes necessary to move the production to the next level within the coming year. With the work of Mrs. Xu as Artistic Director, I know the show is going to amaze everyone who sees it."

The current operations staff for the Amazing Acrobats of Shanghai performing at the New Shanghai Theatre includes: Kristina Middaugh - Director of Sales, Onna Bushong - Operations Manager and Sandy Thompson - Box Office Manager. Cathay Tan Gao is the theatre's General Manager, handling much of the day-to-day operations. Ziqian Tan (Mr. Tan) is the President & Principle Partner for New Century Entertainment, DBA: Amazing Acrobats of Shanghai. Along with a few new faces, New Century Entertainment has retained Ying Xu (Mrs. Xu) as Artistic Director and Freya Lui as Ambassador and Tour Manager.

"I am proud to have this wonderful and skilled staff in place to handle the operations of the show and theatre, said Tan. "Right now, I know we have the right people in place to have a great season. I am looking forward to working with our new staff and business partners to continue to bring a unique cultural experience to Branson audiences."

With new operations staff in place, the Amazing Acrobats of Shanghai is reinventing the Chinese Acrobatic show. Chinese Acrobats have long been known for their amazing feats of strength and balance, along with their beautiful artistry filled with poise and grace. These elements will remain in the show, but elevated to levels never before seen in Branson, Missouri. Beginning this fall, new elements of the show will be added, with 2015 premiering an all new show.

"Everyone at the New Shanghai Theatre is excited about the new show and its amazing elements," Tan. "I have been in the business of producing live acrobatic shows for many years and I knew now is the time to update the concept for our Branson audiences. For years, our guests have seen similar Chinese Acrobatic shows, but when it comes to the future of the show by the Amazing Acrobats of Shanghai, no one will have seen anything like this show before."

The Amazing Acrobats of Shanghai perform shows daily at 3 & 8pm at the New Shanghai Theatre. Business inquires may call the New Shanghai Theatre at 417-336-0888, fax number 417-336-9000.
