Carmel Community Players (www.carmelplayers.org) will present playright Beth Henley's Crimes of the Heart during a two-week run beginning April 15, 2010. Henley's play won the Pulitzer Prize in 1981 and is the third installment in CCP's 2009-10 Season of Pulitzer Prize-winning shows.

Crimes of the Heart, directed by Lori Raffel and produced by Risa Krauter, is set in Hazlehurst, Mississippi, where the three Magrath sisters have gathered to await news of their grandfather, who is dying. Lenny, the oldest sister, is unmarried at thirty and facing diminishing marital prospects; Meg, the middle sister, who quickly outgrew Hazlehurst, is back after a failed singing career on the West Coast; while Babe, the youngest, is out on bail after having shot her husband in the stomach.

Performances are at 8:00 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for students/seniors. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online at www.carmelplayers.org or by calling 317.815.9387.
