Pandora Theatre has announced its latest production, Vox Feminina, Mom's The Word, the fifth installment of its annual festival of original short plays, monologues, dance, music and performance pieces.

Produced by Pandora Theatre Board President and Company Member, Stacy A. Bakri, Vox Feminina, Mom's the Word celebrates that oldest of professions, that unsung hero without a cape, that goddess of domesticity, that beacon of light who dried our tears, kissed our boo-boos, and the one who told us the truth when we were wearing so much makeup that even Tammy Faye would have looked at us cross-eyed, our moms. Mothers, step-mothers, mothers-in-law, grandmothers, foster mothers, you were all there for all of us and we owe you a world of gratitude. Seventeen different pieces by seventeen different authors, performers and artists make up this year's show. Houston authors as well as authors from all over the United States are represented. Several talented Houston directors, actors and performers have lent their skills to this production as well, ensuring the highest quality theatrical evening possible.

In addition to a wonderful night of theater, Pandora also offers its companion event to Vox, the Marketplace, in which local women crafters, artisans, small business owners and operators are afforded a venue at no charge to them to set up and sell and advertise their products and services.

Please note: This play contains content that is not appropriate for those under the age of 16.
