Mitchell Greco, Artistic Associate and director and choreographer of past Stages productions Xanadu, The Honky Tonk Angels, Girls Night and Life Could Be a Dream, leads a cast of 12 for the finale of Stages' 2015 - 2016 Season, BIG FISH.

BIG FISH, based on the novel and movie of the same name, premiered on Broadway in 2013 after an out-of-town tryout in Chicago. It later was revised in a more intimate production in 2015 at SpeakEasy Theatre in Boston, MA.

Based on the celebrated novel by Daniel Wallace and the acclaimed Columbia Pictures film directed by Tim Burton, BIG FISH is the extraordinary tale of Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman who lives life to the fullest...and then some! Edward's incredible, larger-than-life stories thrill everyone around him -- except, perhaps, his pragmatic son Will. But as Will prepares for the birth of his own son, he is determined to find the real-life truth behind his father's epic "fish stories".

Kregg Dailey, last seen at Stages in Next to Normal, returns to plays the larger-than-life Edward Bloom. Travis Kirk Coombs, making his Stages debut, stars as Edward's son Will.

Stages favorites Holland Vavra, Chelsea Ryan McCurdy, Robin Van Zandt, Chase McCurdy, and L. Jay Meyer round out the cast. Local young actor Coen Ogier makes his Stages debut as Young Will.

Stages continues its partnership with Sam Houston State University with a performance internship surrounding BIG FISH. The internship, which has been ongoing since 2008, offers students the opportunity to perform in a professional setting, while still receiving college credit.

Special Q&A performances including a post-show chat with the creative team will be held on the following days: Sunday, May 22, 3:00p; Thursday, May 26, 7:30p; and Sunday, May 29, 3:00p.
