David V. Foster, President and CEO of Opus 3 Artists, announces the opening of a European office in Berlin, Germany, Opus 3 Artists GmbH. The Opus 3 Artists GmbH Berlin office will offer artist management services in Europe to select artists, as well as secure and manage European tours for ensembles and orchestras. Opus 3 Artists GmbH will be led by Katharina Ronnefeld, who will serve as Managing Director.

Katharina Ronnefeld, who has a degree in Arts Management, began her career at Konzertdirektion Schmid in Hanover, Germany. From 1992-2008 she served as Manager and Executive Producer for the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, where she was responsible for producing concerts and over 50 tours, including performances at the BBC Proms, the Salzburg Festival and tours to China, North and South America. In 2009, she joined Nordic Artists Management which organized Scandinavian tours for the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestre de Paris, and Dresdner Staatskapelle, among others.

Opus 3 Artists is a leading international agency managing the careers and touring activities of many of the world’s most distinguished performing artists and ensembles. Now in its fifth year, Opus 3 Artists traces its roots to the legendary 20th century impresario, Sol Hurok, whose dominant position in North America spanned half a century from the 1920s to the 1970s. Formed in 2006, after 30 years as ICM Artists, Opus 3 Artists continues the Hurok Concert legacy.

In the 23 years since the Berlin wall came down, the city has secured its place at the center of Europe’s musical, theatrical and artistic life and Opus 3 Artists is delighted to join the other international cultural and commercial enterprises that have become part of the new Berlin.
