Nick Mastroianni Raises Over $12K for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
Jupiter, FL -- Despite the rain and rumbling skies, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (LLS) charity event held at Provident Jewelers on Indiantown Road in Jupiter on Thursday, April 17, was a huge success. Hosted by Nick Mastroianni, III, Vice President of Planning and Operations for Allied Capital and Development, the fundraiser brought in more than $12,000.00, which will bolster efforts to cure these life-threatening diseases. Mastroianni, who hopes to become the LLS Man of the Year, is passionate about community service and the need for businesses and individuals to work together to raise awareness of worthwhile causes such as medical research and assistance.
Inside Provident Jewelers, guests listened to the musical art of DJ Adam Lipson while enjoying hors d'oeuvres and refreshments provided by C'est Si Bon Catering and Perfect Vodka. Just outside the front doors, Bubba and Tom Lloyd, the stars of the popular reality show, Hot Rod Reality, let the engines roar on the Turbonetics SSX Concept Camaro designed and built by Bubba and which has recently returned from a nationwide tour. This car is the precursor to the Bubba Edition Transformer Camaro which will be seen in theaters this coming June. Also on hand was the signature black, purple and green "Eat My Shift" Camaro owned by Monster Transmission and Performance of Brooksville, Florida. Monster Transmission is considered to be one of the foremost transmission experts in the automotive industry. They are the official transmission provider for certified Batmobile manufacturers.
Shining brighter than the diamonds in the Provident display cases, cover model Layla Von Athey's smile was sparkle personified. Also on hand were Aidy Alonzo and Jackie Rea, representing Palm Beach International Raceway (PBIR). The ladies donated a gift certificate for the evening's raffle, which included a radical ride-along experience with Resident Professional Driver (Palm Beach Driving Club) Shane Lewis on the PBIR's two mile 10-turn road course.
Bubba's East Coast Rods and Customs, a new addition to the Pennock Industrical Park, is the second facility for the father and son team of Tom and Bubba Lloyd, who have another location in Fairfax, Virginia. At 25, Bubba Lloyd is considered to be one of the top three designers in the country. No strangers to adversity, Tom, Bubba, their families and staff are deeply committed to lending their name and celebrity to causes that benefit the greater good. They will next be appearing at PBIR for the much anticipated Nitro Jam Drag Racing Series on May 3. A meet and greet with autographs will be held from 1 pm to 3 pm.
Thursday night's event was emceed by Jonathan Duerr of Fite Shavell & Associates Professional Realtors. The evening's offerings included silent auction and raffle items donated by Provident Jewelers and The Dream Factory. Among the easily recognizable names etched on the designer pieces were Gucci, Tiffany, Breitling, Corum and Robert Coin. Lucky guest Valerie Fiordolino found a one carat diamond "hidden" in her champagne flute.
